Busy Week Planned at Union County Carnegie Library

Daniel Prince

Library will be closed for a staff day Friday

The library has a busy week of activities ahead. It kicks off today from 5-6 p.m. with the library’s Computer Basics class. Anyone interested in learning about the different parts of the computer, including how to use the mouse and keyboard, can come to the class. There is a maximum of 10 people per class, but if you can’t make this one, they will have another computer basics class Thursday morning from 10-11.

Tuesday at 10 a.m. will be the next Tuesday Storytime, geared for ages birth to 4, with stories, music, crafts, and fun. The Tween Book Club will meet Tuesday at 4 at the library. This week’s only virtual program will take place Wednesday. Toddler Time will be posted to the library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Thursday morning will feature the other computer basics class, and the library’s Resource Fair is scheduled Thursday from 2-4 p.m. This will feature information, food, and door prizes. A number of community organizations will be involved, telling people about the resources they can provide citizens of Union County. Those attending will receive a free Kona Ice, as well.

The library will be closed Friday for a staff day. They will reopen next Monday at 8:30. The Union County Carnegie Library is open Monday through Thursday from 8:30-6, and normally, they are open Fridays from 9-3. Staff remain available via chat, phone, and email from 9-5 Monday through Friday, except for the days when the library is closed.
