Council will consider requests to fill vacant budgeted positions, capital funds, and appointments to vacant positions on boards and commissions. They will then discuss the Tuition Assistance program. They will discuss their intergovernmental agreement with the City of Union for animal control. They will also discuss the renovations of the Wells Fargo building.
After hearing reports from any elected officials, council will consider a resolution to amend the fee-in-lieu-of-tax agreement with MycoWorks, Inc. They have three ordinances to vote on, as well. Council will hold second reading of the 2022-2023 Union County budget. They will then hold second reading on an ordinance dealing with the sale and conveyance of county-owned property to the Union-Laurens Commission on Higher Education. Finally, they will hold first reading on a fee-in-lieu-of-tax and incentive agreement on a new economic development project, code-named Project George Washington.
Following the supervisor’s report and any reports from committees, there will be an executive session to discuss a legal matter before adjourning.
