Event honors those serving 25, 30, and 35 years in Union County Schools
The Union County School District took advantage of yesterday’s early release day to pay tribute to some of its most loyal employees. They treated employees who have served 25, 30, and 35 consecutive years of service to the Union County School District to a special lunch Wednesday. They served steak or chicken, baked potato, and salad and thanked each one for their service.
Serving 25 straight years in the district are Kimberly Balkum, Latasha Booker, Angela Bright, Bonnie Brown, Jodie Ledbetter, Carla Page, Delmar Pearson, Emily Sartor, Jeff Stepp, and Judy Turner. Those with 30 years of consecutive service are Debra Johnson, Ethel Glenn, Jane Petty, and Robert Tucker. Celebrating 35 years of consecutive service to the district are Robert Cheshier and Joyce Hughes.
At the close of the event, Superintendent Joey Haney said that those honored represented a number of different jobs and responsibilities within the school district, all of which are vital to making the district’s operation successful:
