Buy items online to support Union County youth
The Union County Library System is back open today after the Thanksgiving holidays. They have two events scheduled this week—one in-person, and one virtual. The in-person event will be the weekly Tuesday Storytime with Ms. Raven. Sweet Treats is this Tuesday’s theme. On Thursday, Kelton and Spencer will lead the virtual Let’s Talk About Steam event, with a Frosty the Snowman theme. The event will be posted on the library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel for you to view whenever you like.
The library is partnering with the United Way of the Piedmont and the website roonga.com to host a Winter Warmth Drive for Union County youth. You can go online to roonga.com/UnionWinterWarmth, choose the items you want to purchase, support as many children or teens as you want by adjusting the quantity box, add them to your cart, and then check out. The items will be distributed directly to the children and teens in our community that need them most. The library will spearhead distribution and is happy to coordinate with your or your agency. The last day to purchase is this Friday, December 3.
