Rev. Charlie Jennings Jr. named parade marshal

The Union County NAACP held the first of what they plan to be an annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade this past Saturday. The parade route entered Main Street at North Pinckney Street and continued to the L.W. Long Community Resource Center across from the courthouse. The crowd was small but enthusiastic in welcoming the parade and waving to the 46 entries. Rev. Charlie Jennings Jr. was named the parade marshal. Entrants included NAACP members, churches, businesses, organizations, and others.
