Kevin Brewington to be sworn in
The newest school board member, Kevin Brewington, will be sworn in at the start of tonight’s meeting of the Union County Board of School Trustees. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Union County Career and Technology Center. Magistrate Judge Kevin Morrow will swear in Brewington. After that, the board will go into executive session to discuss personnel and contractual matters.
In open session, Superintendent Joey Haney will give his updates to the board. He will also do some special recognitions. Director of Instruction Dr. Lacresha Byrd will present two overnight field trip requests for approval. Finance Director Linda Griffin will give the monthly budget update. Personnel Director Jeff Stribble will present the personnel report for approval. After that, the meeting will adjourn.
