Sheriff's office pays tribute to county's telecommunicators

April 10-16 is National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week. This weeklong event is a time to celebrate and thank those who dedicate their lives to serving the public. It honors their hard work and dedication. It is sponsored by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials International honoring the thousands of men and women who respond to emergency calls, dispatch emergency professionals and equipment, and render life-saving assistance to the world’s citizens.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office posted this tribute on Facebook to those working at Union County dispatch: “Happy National Telecommunicators Week to the behind-the-scene heroes of Union County! We cannot say thank you enough to each and every one of you. You’re the first line of contact for our citizens and the lifeline for our deputies.”
