One woman was already charged with burglary

Two people have been arrested in separate financial card fraud cases. Amanda Gail Reyes faces a count of financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card theft greater than $500. The case stems from a break-in at a residence on West South Street on August 6. 34-year-old Amanda Gail Reyes was previously arrested in the case and charged with first-degree burglary. She is also accused of obtaining the man’s USAA Visa credit card from his wallet that was stolen in the break-in. She then used the card at Walmart to make a purchase for $517.49.

In another case, 55-year-old Pamela Kay Baldwin faces charges of financial transaction card theft and financial transaction card theft greater than $500. Baldwin is accused of obtaining a woman’s Woodforest debit card sometime between November 23 and December 24, 2020. She is then accused of using the card to obtain money through Cash App. The total taken from the account was $640. Warrants on Baldwin were signed last October and entered into NCIC. Baldwin was arrested on the charges on Wednesday.
