Interim Supervisor Bob Love will preside over his first meeting since taking office
This afternoon, interim Supervisor Bob Love will preside over his first Union County Council meeting since taking office. The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. in the Grand Jury Room of the Union County Courthouse.
The agenda includes an update on Retail Strategies from Jami Trammell with the Union County Development Board. Council will consider any requests to fill vacant budgeted positions, requests for capital funds, and appointments to vacant positions on boards and commissions. Elected officials will be given an opportunity to make a report to council.
Council has one resolution and four ordinances to take up. The resolution deals with matching funds for Rural Infrastructure grants. Council will give second reading on the ordinance creating a multi-county industrial park for Dolgencorp, LLC. They will hold second reading on the ordinance leasing airport property, limited fixed base operator, sale of aviation fuel, and other leases and grants. They will hold second reading on the ordinance conveying county-owned property to Savvy Builders LLC. They will also hold second reading on an infrastructure credit agreement for Project Pluto.
Interim Supervisor Bob Love will present his report to council, and any county committees with reports will give those, as well. An executive session is planned to deal with a personnel matter. The public is invited to attend, and the meeting will be streamed live on Facebook, but on a different page than it has been in the past. It will be streamed to the Union County, SC page.
