Jasmine Humphries earns salutatorian honors, Elainie Lee is valedictorian

Family and friends packed the home stands at Union County Stadium Saturday morning to celebrate the 245 seniors who earned diplomas from Union County High School. Rylee Austin led the invocation at the ceremony, and while the Union County High School JROTC presented the colors, Caroline Baron led the crowd in the pledge of allegiance, and Jolee Cathcart sang the national anthem.

The salutatorian of the class of 2022 was Jasmine Humphries, who shared some lessons she has learned from her family through the years:

The Union County High School Band played the song “Nostalgia”, and then the graduates were presented their diplomas. One diploma was presented in memoriam to Michaela Jean Bolding. Two graduates earned perfect attendance recognition for all 13 years of their schooling—Mary Kathryn James and Moriah Lee Goode did not miss a single day of their 2340 days in school from kindergarten to senior year. After the diploma presentation and the turning of the tassels, the Union County High School Band led the alma mater, and Chloe Rector closed with the benediction.
