Music, painting demonstrations, and much more planned
The Piedmont Physic Garden is set to host the third-annual Environmental Art and Music Festival. It will be held this Saturday from 10-6, rain or shine. The garden is located at 301 East South Street, intersecting with South Mountain Street. The event will feature artisans and craft vendors, food trucks, a DNR wildlife exhibit, the DNR boat simulator, a kids zone, and, of course, art and music. Artwork by students from the schools can be seen in the windows of many businesses on Main Street, so you can take a stroll down Main Street and see that. At the garden, they will have music by Tri-County Express, TJ Jeter, Angela Easterling with Brandon Turner, and Iliana Rose. They will have live painting demonstrations going on at the garden throughout the event, with work done by Dana Gonzalez, Nanette Jenkins, and Betsy Switzer.
Toccoa Switzer with the Piedmont Physic Garden was featured on the morning show earlier this week, and she talked about hosting the event at the garden this year:
