Witness said woman was trying to recover a bookbag full of marijuana
An arrest has been made in a January armed robbery of a juvenile victim. According to the arrest warrants, 40-year-old Lashandra Jameka Means was arrested on Thursday and charged with armed robbery, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and first-degree burglary in the case.
According to the incident report, on the evening of January 6, Sgt. Shaver was dispatched to Lakeview Gardens Apartments for a disturbance. While on the way, dispatch informed him that the caller reported that a subject with a gun was inside the apartment. While still on the way, dispatch notified him the woman had left the scene in a black-colored vehicle. Through the investigation, Shaver learned that someone had come to the apartment and accused the complainant’s daughter of taking a vape. The complainant could not find the vape in question. She said they were all sitting around in the living room area of the apartment when an unknown female came in the front door of the apartment uninvited and started waving a handgun around. The complainant said the woman then pointed the gun at the victim, saying to give her the bookbag. The woman grabbed the bookbag and ran out the door. The victim stated the bag contained his school laptop computer.
Another officer said that someone had told him that a woman had come over bragging about robbing a black female and taking a bookbag with a large amount of weed, and that the woman had returned to get her weed back. Over the course of the investigation, Means was identified as the woman involved in the armed robbery.
