Daniel Prince

Lyles is a math interventionist at the school

Foster Park Elementary School has named Annette Lyles as the school’s November Teacher of the Month. Lyles is in her 14th year of teaching and her first at Foster Park, where she serves as the school’s math interventionist. She graduated from Limestone College, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She completed her master’s degree in education at North Greenville University.

Her co-workers described her in the following ways: “Ms. Lyles is so friendly and upbeat.” “She genuinely cares for her students and is always helpful!” “Ms. Lyles loves what she does, and it shows! Her children seem so happy to work with her. She always has a smile on her face!” “Ms. Lyles has joined the FPES flock beautifully. She provides each grade level with advice and support. She offers help to anyone and is willing to help in any capacity.” “Ms. Lyles is always kind and helpful to anyone around her.”

When asked, Lyles says her favorite thing about teaching is “watching students grow, seeing the ‘Aha!’ moment when a student understands a concept.”

Other than teaching, Lyles loves shopping and dancing. She is the mother of two children, Trey Lyles (21) and Alexis Lyles (16). Lyles attends Outreach Deliverance Church.
