The National Letter Carriers Association is once again holding its annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive. For those who have a PO Box, you can leave your food bag at the post office. Items such as pasta, cereal, oatmeal, canola oil, peanut butter are suggested, as are canned items such as beans, fruit, vegetables, soup, tuna, meat, and sauce. They say to please avoid glass containers. The premiere partner for the event is the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union. Other national partners include the United States Postal Service, AFL-CIO, Kellogg’s, Valpak, CVS, United Way, Vericast, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, and local food partners.
