Battle of Musgrove Mill State Offers Ranger-Guided Battlefield Hike

Group offers the battlefield hike each month

The Battle of Musgrove Mill State Historic Site will offer its monthly ranger-guided battlefield hike this Saturday, April 2, at 10 a.m. The two-hour, Ranger-led hike will cover the 1.5-mile Battlefield Trail. Those participating in the hike will learn about why the battle was fought at Musgrove Mill, who participated, what occurred, and why the battle was important to the Patriot cause. The hike will cost $5. Reservations are required in advance by calling 864-938-0100 or emailing mgmillsp@scprt.com. Meet at the park’s Visitor’s Center between 9:45 and 10, and the hike will begin at 10. Please wear appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking, and bring bottled water.
