School district thanks students for having the courage to keep their school safe

The Union County School District put out a note on its Facebook page Tuesday afternoon saying they were informed early that day of a possible weapon at Sims Middle School. Upon investigation, the object in question was found to be a bb gun. The district stated that they wanted to keep parents informed of the situation, and they wanted to publicly thank the students for having the courage to keep their school safe.
