Beth Anthony Wins Tight School Board Race

Anthony wins by 22 votes; Shropshire, Massey, Lipsey also win

The closest election result this year came in the School Board District 9 race between incumbent Dr. Jane Wilkes and her challenger, Beth Ramsey Anthony. Anthony won the election by just 22 votes, 387-365. After the final results were announced, Anthony spoke with WBCU News about the win and her thoughts about beginning her term on the school board:

Incumbents Mike Massey and Doc Lipsey earned another term on the school board, as well. The new board members will be sworn in at the next school board meeting, scheduled for Monday, November 21.
