$55 eGift cards offered as incentive to give
The Blood Connection continues to give incentives for people to give the gift of life. The Blood Connection will have its bloodmobile in the Walmart parking lot today from 4-8 p.m. All donors will receive a $55 eGift card after donating. To save time, fill out your health history questionnaire online at www.thebloodconnection.org. You can also set up an appointment online, as well. To prepare for your blood donation, eat a healthy and hearty meal before donating. Drink at least 2 cups of water before donating. Bring your donor card or photo ID with your birth date on it when you come to donate. Platelet donors must be aspirin-free for 48 hours prior to their appointment. You can double your impact with a single donation by donating double red blood cells. This is a longer process, and your wait time between donations is increased. Certain qualifications must be met in order to make a double red cell donation, but for those who qualify, you will receive more rewards.
