Nationwide blood shortage affecting The Blood Connection
The Blood Connection continues to see a major need for blood donations. A nationwide blood shortage is affecting them, too. Donations are needed to shore up the blood supply in the area. The bloodmobile will be at Union Medical Center today from 10 a.m. until noon to receive donations. All donors will receive a $20 eGift card. In addition, they will be at Walmart tomorrow from 2-7 p.m. and next Friday, March 11, from 2-7, as well. Donors will receive eGift cards there, as well.
The Blood Connection battled historically low blood donor turnout last year, which led to the shortage. They say that a shortage can be prevented with your donation.
