Burgundy 2017 Honda Accord stolen after owner left it running
A car was reported stolen from the parking lot of Gwinn’s Florist at 245 Thompson Boulevard on Monday afternoon. Sgt. Scott Hood spoke with the victim, who was visibly upset. She said she had come to the shop to buy flowers for her father’s wife who was in the hospital. She had left the car running, and when she came out, the vehicle was gone. It is a burgundy 2017 Honda Accord. Hood spoke with a woman who works at the flower shop, and she said around 30 minutes earlier, a white male came into the store, asked about a charger, and then left. The liquor store owner also stated a white male came into his store asking about a charger and then left. Officers went to Enmarket to view any video footage that might be available. A worker there said a white male came in about an hour prior asking about a charger. The video showed the man had brown hair and a beard. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket and blue jeans. The video showed him entering the store around 4:46 p.m. After a while, he left, walking toward Gwinn’s Florist. He walked by the Honda. A few minutes later, someone could be seen entering the Honda and leaving heading north on Thompson Boulevard. The case has been sent to investigations, and the vehicle has been entered into NCIC.
