One lucky child will receive a bicycle at the event
After two years of drive-through events, the Town of Carlisle is planning for an in-person gathering for their 19th-annual Carlisle Community Back to School Block Party. It is scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, August 13, from 1-5 p.m. at the Carlisle Town Hall. They will be giving away bookbags filled with school supplies while they last to the kids in the community. They will give away a bicycle to one lucky child who attends. There will be a water slide set up. They will have senior citizens bingo. Music will be featured, and BBQ will be served. In addition, there will be a kids’ bike parade, a talent show, door prizes, and a vaccine clinic. Volunteers and donations are needed to make the event successful. Anyone interested in helping out should call the Carlisle Town Hall at 427-1505.
