Council to hold final reading on ordinance to rezone the Merchant's Walk Shopping Center
Union City Council will hold its regular monthly meeting tonight at 6:30 at Union City Hall. Seven city employees will be honored for September work anniversaries, ranging from 5-26 years. They will hold second and final reading on an ordinance to rezone the Merchant’s Walk Shopping Center property at 410 North Duncan Bypass from A-5 Shopping Center to A-2 Highway Commercial. In new business, council will consider a request from the Santuc Fire Department Board. They will consider a donation request for the Main Street Downtown Open House event. They will award a bid for the demolition and disposal of four structures in the city. They will also award bids for the Union-Carlisle Regional Wastewater Project contract. After a time of public comment, they will go into executive session for a legal matter, where they will receive an update on the ongoing PMPA litigation. Afterwards, the meeting will adjourn. The public is invited to attend.
