Coldest weather seems to be behind us...for now.
While Campbell’s is the only local death we’re aware of that could be attributed to the strong winds and cold weather that pushed into the area Friday and lingered through the weekend, there were numerous reports of scattered power outages and damage, whether from the wind or from pipes freezing. The good news is the coldest of the weather is behind us, and the temperatures will warm up through the week. By Thursday night, the low temperature will stay above freezing, and for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, high temperatures are expected to be in the 60s. Rain is expected Saturday and Saturday night, which could put a damper on some of the fireworks, depending on the timing of the showers.
