Cleanup on Berry Farm Road continues today

The first Community Cleanup Day in Carlisle was such a success, it has already inspired offshoots in areas other than those previously announced. A neighborhood cleanup on Berry Farm Road from 176 to 215 began yesterday from 9-1 and will continue today from 9-1, as well. The rally point for the cleanup will be at Renaissance Park starting at 8:45 a.m. Tools, vests, and supplies will be provided for all who want to help. Food and refreshments will be available for volunteers. If you need information, contact Elise Ashby at 427-1530.

If you would like to organize a community cleanup, contact Tiffany Lancaster at 466-4712.
The community cleanup in Carlisle was successful, as they picked up nearly 2800 pounds of litter, 67 tires, and a couple of TVs. After today’s cleanup, the next one on the schedule is in the Town of Jonesville. It will be set for Friday, April 21, from 8-noon. The rally point will be the Jonesville Municipal Complex. They will have a dumpster on site to bring household trash, bulk items, electronic waste, and tires. Safety materials will be provided to clean up litter from the streets. Tires usually have a disposal cost associated with them, but during these community cleanups, you can get rid of old tires for free. To volunteer, contact Tiffany Lancaster at 466-4712.
