Council to hear requests from elected officials
Union County Council will begin the first of several budget work sessions today at 5:30 p.m. It will be held in the Grand Jury Room of the Union County Court House. The public is invited to attend. In this workshop, council will hear budget requests from elected officials. The Probate Judge, Clerk of Court, Treasurer, Auditor, Sheriff, and Coroner will present their budget requests. The council will also hear budget requests from the Magistrate. They will have more workshops the next two Tuesdays. Second reading of the budget will take place during the May council meeting. The County Finance Committee will meet after that to set the final budget before a public hearing and third reading in June.
