County Council Committee to Discuss Proposed County Burn Ordinance

Ordinance has received two readings already

Union County Council’s Committee on Planning and Development will meet Monday, November 15, at noon. The meeting will be in the conference room at the Community Development Office at 103 West Main Street.

The committee, comprised of Dr. John Flood, Tommie Hill, Ben Ivey, and David Sinclair, will be discussing a burn ordinance and an ordinance pertaining to establishing deployment fees for fire protection. The burn ordinance has already passed its first two readings by council, but it has been on hold for this committee to meet to discuss possible amendments to the ordinance prior to final passage. The public is invited to attend.
