Airport receives grant for major resurfacing project

At its meeting Thursday night, the Union County Airport Commission voted to move forward with the negotiations and proposal to bring Fenix Air on board as the airport’s fixed base operator. Members of Union County Council and some of the Republican candidates running for office in November were on hand for the meeting, which discussed the partnership with Fenix Air, along with a number of improvements the airport is working toward.
