Second reading of budget ordinance on the agenda for tonight
Following three straight weeks of budget workshops, Union County Council will meet for its regular monthly meeting today at 5:30. It will be held, as usual, in the grand jury room at the Union County Courthouse. The agenda is light, with council considering approving the payment of an invoice from Carlisle Consulting. After any reports from elected officials, council will hold second reading on the budget ordinance for fiscal year 2023-2024. Supervisor Phillip Russell will give his report, followed by any committee reports and announcements, and then the meeting will adjourn. The public is invited to attend, and the meeting will be livestreamed on the county’s Facebook page.
