Request for EMS equipment, three resolutions among agenda items
Union County Council will hold their regular monthly meeting today at 5:30 p.m. at the Meeting Room at 103 West Main Street. After giving out any service awards, council will hear from Leigh Ann Arthur with the Union County Livestock Association. Arthur will update council on the livestock show held September 23-25. Council will discuss the County Christmas party. They will discuss a request for equipment by Union County EMS. They will then consider requests to fill vacant budgeted positions, requests for capital funds, and appointments to vacant positions on boards and commissions. After hearing any reports from elected officials and department heads, council will take up three resolutions.
The first will be to declare the results of last week’s special election. The second deals with matching funds for the Renaissance Park project. The third is a resolution in support of ReGenesis as a public transit provider. Supervisor Frank Hart and council members will give any reports they have. An executive session is planned to discuss a personnel matter. The public is invited to attend, and the meeting will be streamed live to the Frank Hart Union County Supervisor Facebook page.
