Audit report, resolution to create a commission for Capital Project Sales Tax planned
Union County Council will hold its regular monthly meeting today at 5:30 p.m. in the Grand Jury Room at the Union County Courthouse. The public is invited to attend, and the meeting will be streamed live to the Frank Hart Union County Supervisor Facebook page.
Robert Alexander will discuss EMS and 911. David B. Pittman will discuss the Buffalo Mill Village Park project. Andrew Dobson with Halliday, Schwartz, and Company will present the audit. Council will consider approval of the Needs Assessment List that was discussed in the February meeting. They will then consider requests to fill any vacant budgeted positions and capital funding requests, as well as make any appointments to vacant positions on boards or commissions.
Council has two resolutions to consider. The first is an inducement resolution for MycoWorks. The second is to create a commission pursuant to the Capital Project Sales Tax Act. They will then hold first reading of an ordinance for a lease agreement with MycoWorks.
Supervisor Frank Hart will give his report, followed by any committee reports. An executive session is planned to discuss economic development and personnel matters.
