County to Sell City Park to USC Union

University to make improvements to the facility to bring it up to JUCO standard

At last week’s Union County Council meeting, the council passed third and final reading of an ordinance to sell City Park, at 615 West Main Street, to the Union-Laurens Commission on Higher Education. The USC Union Lady Bantams softball team has been using the field there for its home games since the program expanded from club level to JUCO level ball.
