Despite National Holiday, School is in Session for Most Union Students

Union Christian Day School is out today, but Union County Schools are on normal schedule

This is Presidents Day, a day set aside for more than just sales on mattresses and appliances. It began as a way to honor George Washington’s birthday, which will be February 22. It now honors all presidents, past and present. Banks, post offices, and government offices from the local to the federal level will be closed today. Union County Schools students will go to school today. They had Friday off as a staff development day, so today will be a normal school day for them. However, Union Christian Day School, which had school last Friday, will be off today in observance of the holiday.
