Devin Turner Honored With District's Golden Buzz Award for October

Turner is special education teacher at Buffalo Elementary School

Superintendent Joey Haney made the trip to Buffalo Elementary to present the October Golden Buzz Award to Devin Turner. Turner is a Special Education teacher at Buffalo. He has been in education for six years, four of which as a certified teacher at Buffalo. He also worked 8 years at the Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, serving adults with disabilities as a case manager, house manager, and LSI, where he began his journey of working with those who have disabilities. He and his assistants, Delmar Pearson and Libby Crocker, strive to help their students succeed. Turner’s inspiration for being an educator comes from having a strong family background of educators and nurses. Here are some of Haney’s comments from the award presentation:
