Donation Helps Southside Fire Department Get New Bay Doors

New doors will help accommodate department's new equipment truck

The Southside Fire Department found itself in need of a new service bay door recently. A generous Union County citizen stepped up to help. WBCU News spoke to Southside Fire Department Chief Michael Lancaster about the donation:

Lancaster also emphasized the need to have working smoke alarms in your home, especially this time of year. Be sure to test them regularly, and change the batteries in them twice a year if they don’t have one built in.
