Fifth of six early release days is tomorrow
The Union County School District wants to remind everyone that the fifth of six scheduled early release days for this school year is coming up tomorrow. The early release days were built in the calendar to allow for professional development opportunities throughout the year without having to miss an entire day of instruction. Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8, elementary schools will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. Middle schools will dismiss at 12:45 p.m., and Union County High School will dismiss at 1 p.m. Students will receive lunch at school. All early release days this year are scheduled on Wednesdays. The final early release day this year will be April 19. Next Friday, March 17, the students will be out of school. Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled next Thursday afternoon into the early evening and Friday morning. Check with your student’s teacher or teachers to schedule a conference. Next year’s modified calendar does not include any early release days.
