Advance tickets still available

The Union County Agricultural Fair opens its gates next Tuesday. Advance MeggaPass tickets are still on sale at 14 different locations across the county, including at WBCU. Stop by from 7-4 weekdays to purchase yours for $20. This advance ticket is only available through next Monday—once the fair opens, no more MeggaPasses will be sold. The MeggaPass is good for gate admission and for riding all the rides and can be used any one day that you choose. Advance MeggaPass fair tickets are available at WBCU, Buffalo Pawn Shop, City Hall, Dairio, Dollar General, Fat Sams, Embroidery by Karen, Reece O’Dell, Roberts Accounting, Sonoco, T&L Diner, Carlisle Town Hall, Union County Courthouse, and Union Medical Center.

Regular gate admission will be $8 for ages 13-62, $6 for ages 2-12 as well as 62 and older, and toddlers under age 2 get in free. Two-Buck Tuesday is back this year, with $2 gate admission with the donation of canned food, and all rides will be $2. Church Night at the Fair offers free gate admission from 4-8 p.m. to those with a Church Night ticket, as well as $4 off rides. Jacket Night is Thursday, with free gate admission with a student ID and $4 off rides. Saturday is Heroes Day, with free gate admission for health care workers, EMS, fire, police, and other community heroes with a valid ID. Ride all ride tickets through the week for those without the advance MeggaPass ticket will be available for $22 at the carnival box office, and Saturday ride tickets will be $25.

Gates will be open from 4-10 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday. Friday, the fair will be open from 4-11, and Saturday from noon until 11 p.m. For more information, call 424-8272, or email unioncofair@gmail.com.
