Activities include brunch, FoodShare anniversary celebration, and after-hours event
The Union County Farm and Craft Market has announced that the 2022 Farmers Market Week will be held August 7-13. The week will kick off with a special brunch at the market on Sunday, August 7, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On Thursday, August 11, at 2 p.m., they will celebrate the one-year anniversary of FoodShare Union County. The program allows people to buy small or large boxes of fresh, locally grown produce at low prices. A small box of produce is $15, and a large box is $20. SNAP recipients pay $5 for a small box and $10 for a large box, with Healthy Bucks picking up the rest of the cost. To place orders, call 427-1530. The next order deadline is Friday, July 22. For those who placed orders last week, the pickup date will be tomorrow, Thursday, July 14. If you place an order for the next week, the pickup date will be Thursday, July 28. Pick up produce boxes between 12-3 at the Union County Farm and Craft Market on the selected pick-up date.
Farmers Market Week will wrap up on Saturday, August 13, with a Market After Hours event from 5-8 p.m. More details on these activities will be coming soon.
