First Early Dismissal Day Scheduled

Two early dismissal days included in this year's school calendar

Union County Schools wants to remind everyone that Friday will be the first early dismissal day of the school year. The district implemented early dismissal days two years ago to allow for more time throughout the year for staff development and training opportunities.

Students in elementary schools will be dismissed at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. Middle school students will be dismissed at 12:45 p.m., and Union County High School will let out at 1 p.m. The students will receive lunch. There are only two early dismissal days built into the calendar this year, with the other one on Friday, October 22.
