Six early release days on the schedule for this school year
Wednesday will be the first of six scheduled early release days for this school year. The early release days were built in the calendar to allow for professional development opportunities throughout the year without having to miss an entire day of instruction. Elementary schools will dismiss at 12:15 p.m. Middle schools will dismiss at 12:45 p.m., and Union County High School will dismiss at 1 p.m. Students will receive lunch at school. Interim reports will be issued and sent home with students tomorrow, as well. All early release days this year are scheduled on Wednesdays. After tomorrow, the next one will be on October 5. They are also planned for January 11, February 8, March 8, and April 19.
