Participants asked to bring their own fishing equipment and tackle
The annual Fishing Rodeo will return to Foster Park on Saturday, May 21. The event will be held that morning from 9 a.m. to noon. The fishing rodeo is for ages 6-15, and those kids must be accompanied by an adult. No adult fishing will be allowed at the event. Participants are asked to bring their own fishing equipment and tackle. Registration is not required this year. Lunch will be provided to participants while it lasts. Prizes for the event are being donated by the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. The Fishing Rodeo is being sponsored by the City of Union, US Forest Service, and Union County.
