Man accused of using company credit card to make unauthorized purchases
The former manager at a Napa Auto Parts store in Spartanburg County was arrested in Union County and charged with breach of trust. Last Thursday, PFC Cody Hill received a call from the loss prevention officer at the Spartanburg store about an employee suspected to be using company funds fraudulently. The man, identified as 49-year-old Paul Woodrow Hogan, of Union, is accused of making several unauthorized purchases with a company credit card. He made three separate purchases at Walmart on three separate dates, totaling $353.58. He bought an HDMI-C cord for $16.99 on February 13; an HDMI-USB multiport device for $42.67 on February 18; and four Great Value brand 24-pack Dr. Thunders, three high-yield ink toners, Great Value brand decaf coffee, and Great Value brand coffee creamer for $293.92 on February 21. Store surveillance video showed Hogan making the purchases. The loss prevention officer stated that Hogan no longer works for the Spartanburg store but does work at Napa in Union. Hogan was arrested and charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent, less than $2000, on Tuesday and was released on a personal recognizance bond.
