Facility expected to be operational sometime in 2023

A crowd of local officials, South Carolina Department of Commerce representatives, and MycoWorks executives gathered under a tent at 260 Midway Drive to break ground on the company’s new facility. Union County Development Board Executive Director Dolton Williams welcomed everyone and thanked all the people and groups who helped bring the project to fruition. Williams said that rural economic development is challenging but rewarding, and said this project in particular has the potential to change lives:

MycoWorks is bringing $107 million in capital investment and 400 jobs to the county. The facility is expected to be operational sometime next year.
