Final screenings scheduled on February 4
The nomination period is now open for the Gifted and Talented Arts classes for the 2023-2024 school year. Nomination forms will be sent home with each student in grades 8-11. Students may be nominated by teachers, parents, or friends, and they may also nominate themselves. The nomination form must be emailed to gtart@union.k12.sc.us no later than 3:30 p.m. on Friday, January 13. Teacher screenings will take place next. Preliminary school screenings will take place the week of January 23-27 at the nominee’s school of attendance. Final screenings will be held on Saturday, February 4. Students will be assigned a performance time, and attendance is mandatory. GT classes at the high school are offered in Drama, Visual Arts, and Music.
