This Saturday, the Battle of Musgrove Mill State Historic Site will be offering a guided hike of the Battlefield Trail. The two-hour, ranger-guided hike will cover the 1.5-mile Battlefield Trail. During the hike, those attending will learn about why the battle was fought at Musgrove Mill, who participated, what occurred during the battle, and why the battle was important to the Patriot cause.
The cost of the hike is $5 per person. Meet at the park’s Visitor’s Center between 9:45 and 10 a.m., and the hike will begin promptly at 10. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear for hiking and bring bottled water. Space is limited, so reservations are required by calling 864-938-0100 or email mgmillsp@scprt.com. The Battle of Musgrove Mill State Historic Site is located at 398 State Park Road in Clinton.
