Harbor Freight is hosting a hiring event for their new store in Union. It will be held at Goodwill at 441 North Duncan Bypass tomorrow, Wednesday, March 8, from 9-noon and from 1-4. Walk-ins are welcome. Harbor Freight managers are scheduling interviews for part-time and full-time positions. They are looking to hire sales associates, stocking associates, sales supervisor, stocking supervisor, sales manager, and stocking manager. The associate positions are part-time, while the supervisor and manager positions are full-time. Anticipated starting pay for the associate positions is $15 an hour. The supervisor positions will be $17.50 an hour, and manager positions will be between $24 and $26.40 an hour. Union’s is one of four Harbor Freight stores that will be coming soon, with others in Orangeburg, Summerville, and York. Walterboro recently opened their new store. Officials expect Harbor Freight to open the Union store sometime in April in the Union Square shopping center in the old Western Auto building that most recently was home to Label Shopper.
