Races to benefit Thomas Lee Sinclair Memorial Foundation, USC Union School of Nursing

It’s not too late to enter a couple of 5K races that are coming up soon. The Thomas Lee Sinclair Memorial Foundation is planning a 5K Run/Walk at Foster Park coming up this Saturday, March 26, at 9 a.m. Packet pickup is scheduled from 7:30-8:45 a.m., with the run/walk beginning at 9. Cost is $25 to register and can be done online at runsignup.com, and search for TLSinclair. If you aren’t interested in online registration, you can email tlsinclairmemorialfoundation@gmail.com for more information. Money raised will go toward college scholarships for high school students and to support the community projects of Tommy Sinclair.
The foundation is a nonprofit organization created in memory of Gen. Tommy Sinclair to raise money to help various organizations in Union County to help keep his service to Union alive. To find out more, you can email tlsinclairmemorialfoundation@gmail.com.

Two weeks after that, on Saturday, April 9, WBCU will hold our Music & Medicine 5K at Foster Park to raise money for the USC Union School of Nursing. The registration fee is $30, with a t-shirt no longer guaranteed. Registration will begin on Saturday, April 9, at 8 a.m., and the 5K will begin at 8:30. We will have dance stations set up around the course to take a break, show off your dance moves, and shave some time off your final total. Trophies will be awarded for age category winners, and all entrants are eligible to win door prizes. Registration forms are available at our studios at 210 East Main Street, open Monday through Friday from 7-4 and Saturday from 7-1. You can also find the form on our WBCU Facebook page.
