Community Options, Inc., and Michelin looking to hire workers
A couple of hiring events are taking place in Spartanburg over the next couple of days.
Community Options, Inc., is holding a hiring event today from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at SC Works Spartanburg, now located at 110 Commerce Street. They are looking to hire direct support professionals, with first, second, and third-shift jobs available, as well as 12-hour weekend shifts and PRN workers. The job pays $13 an hour. Prior to the event, those interested are asked to apply at www.comop.org.
On Wednesday from 8-4, SC Works Spartanburg will host a job fair for Michelin at the TK Gregg Community Center at 650 Howard Street in Spartanburg. They are looking for manufacturing professionals with production skills for their Spartanburg facility. Starting pay is $21.34 an hour, plus a $2/hour rotation shift premium and a potential $1500 sign-on bonus. The job includes paid vacation and holidays. Benefits from the first day include health, dental, vision, and life insurance, company matching 401(k), an on-site health clinic, and a gym. Forbes magazine in 2021 listed Michelin as America’s Best-in-State Employer. Their goal is to fill at least 40% of any open salaried positions by promoting employees from its wage workforce.
