Kidz Zone Will be a Highlight at This Year's Uniquely Union Festival

Daniel Prince

Main Street will stay closed Friday afternoon through Saturday night

Preparations continue for this weekend’s Uniquely Union Festival, which will take place throughout downtown Union this Friday and Saturday. For those who travel through Main Street, be aware that Main Street will close at noon Friday from Mountain Street to Enterprise Street. North Herndon Street to Sharpe Avenue will also close at the same time. The streets will reopen to normal traffic Saturday night after the festival at around midnight.

One highlight of the festival is always the free rides and activities that kids can enjoy in the Kidz Zone. Kacie Petrie, one of the event organizers, tells us about that, as well as a special event planned Saturday afternoon in the Kidz Zone for both adults and children:

The Kidz Zone will be open during the daylight hours of the festival, starting Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

To learn more about the festival, visit uniquelyunion.com or search for Uniquely Union on social media. You can watch their interview on WBCU on our Facebook page or listen in the on-demand section of our app.
