19 community partners will be there
As a reminder, today is the day for the Union County School District’s registration event for Pre-K and newly enrolled 5-K students. It will be held at the Union County Stadium Parking Lot today from 9-5. 19 community partners will be on hand with information and resources, including C-4 Ministries, Healthy U Behavioral Health, United Way of the Piedmont, Union County First Steps, the Union County Library System, Lions Club, Spartanburg Community College, American Red Cross, Union Medical Center, Union County Historical Society, Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute, Save the children, RobinHood Group, Regenesis Health Care, Union County Schools Food and Nutrition Services, Union County Schools Transportation Department, and more. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be available starting at 10:45 while supplies last. They will have special appearances by some of the Letter Land characters, Miss Union County Fair Teen Madyson Gregory, the USC Union Bantams mascot, and more. Kona Ice will be on site for purchase. The Union County Schools Technology Department will be on site to help parents with the registration process.
You will need proof of birth (long form birth certificate or official document from other countries), immunization record, 3 proofs of residency, including one of these: a current tax notice, mortgage, or lease; and two of these: automobile tax or registration document, current power bill, current phone bill, current water bill, current cable TV bill, current federal tax return with physical address, or SC driver’s license. For pre-K registration only, you will need income verification, such as a Medicaid card, most recent check stub, or SNAP verification. Remember, pre-K students must attend the school for which they are zoned.
