Daniel Prince

Storytime, craft event planned this week

The Union County Carnegie Library has its Tuesday Storytime scheduled tomorrow at 10 a.m. for ages birth to 5, featuring stories, music, crafts, and fun. They will have a special craft afternoon tomorrow, as well, from 4-6 p.m., in conjunction with the Thinking Money for Kids exhibit at the library. It is called “Paint Your Piggybank”. The library invites families to come in from 4-6 p.m. in the children and teen area of the library downstairs and paint and take home your own piggybank.

WBCU News recently talked to Library Director Taylor Atkinson about the Thinking Money for Kids exhibit and the events coming up:

The exhibit will remain on display through Thursday, March 17, and is located near the front entrance on South Street of the Union County Carnegie Library. It is the only site in South Carolina to host this exhibit, which is provided through a partnership with the American Library Association and Finra Investor Education Foundation. A grant was given through those entities to be able to provide programming in support of the exhibit.
